“What finally worked for me”
When we first spoke to this client she was FED UP...
"Nothing works, I have tried everything..I eat well, I exercise but I can't lose weight..."
Unfortunately this is something I hear A LOT, especially with menopausal clientsÂ
This client (who is in menopause) went from not seeing ANY results to losing 20lbs in a few months
HOW?
Simple - she got a plan that addressed MENOPAUSE - not ignored it

Nutrition
Â
When this client signed up we got to work with firstly creating a nutrition plan for HER bodyÂ
👉 one that FACTORED in the change to metabolism and hormonesÂ
👉 one that FACTORED in her LIFE, ie the foods she liked, her social life, her work schedule and so onÂ
👉 one that started to help OFFSET menopausal symptoms, broken sleep, low energy, heightened stress
👉 one that would start to optimise her GUT HEALTH (menopausal women experience poorer gut health due to the change in hormones leading to lower energy, bloating, poor absorption of minerals and even poor mental health)Â

Exercise
Then we started assessing HER life to create an exercise plan that would aid results for HER
👉 yes, when you are going through menopause and estrogen is starting to decline your body starts to produce more cortisol - lots of things then compounds this and creates even MORE cortisol, like poor sleep (a BIG one), overusing caffeine, food choices etc but also OVERTRAINING for YOUR body and LIFE
What I mean by this is: BUSY women who spin a lot of different plates each day, who led pretty hectic work lives, experience stress through their day to day WILL HAVE HIGHER CORTISOL
So if you combine this type of lifestyle with MENOPAUSE then cortisol becomes more of an issue - dumping high intensity workouts in on top of this creates MORE
This is ONE of the reasons women struggle with "menopause belly" - so we had to actually get to know HER life, her work stress, how hectic her days were etc - this allowed us to understand if her body would naturally be creating more cortisol due to her lifestyle and THEN we create an exercise plan AROUND THIS
Not just a random one size fits all workoutÂ

REALISTIC EXPECATIONS
After we had her nutrition and workouts in place we had to give her a REALISTIC PATHWAY
This is game changer for our menopausal clients - seeing THEIR path to the goals and the realistic TIMEFRAME
Unfortunately so many menopausal women struggle to stay consistent because they think its "not working" when they see slower results or even when things "stop working" - THIS IS NORMAL
If you are going through menopause your results will be SLOWER and you will also hit MORE Plateaus in your journey - its very unlikely you are going to see 2lbs or more weight loss each week, more like 0.5lb
So telling a menopausal woman this ie "its going to take you X amount of weeks to hit this goal and you are going to experience some plateaus a long the way but thats cool, i've got you - I have a clear view of your journey and im going to take each step with you" - this massively helps with their momentumÂ

SLEEP HEALTH
 💯Then it was time to work on her SLEEP HEALTH
I talk about SLEEP a lot ha
But thats because its hugely overlooked for menopausal health - not just weight loss but to help with menopausal symptoms, the regulation of hormones, to lower cravings, to reduce stress eating and so on
Once a client gets their SLEEP HYGIENE in place, results start to come "easier"Â

KNOWLEDGE
Aside from ensuring this client had a plan each week to keep seeing results and chipping away at that weight goal we wanted to EDUCATE her about this transition in her life
So over the past couple months this client has attended:
👉 Menopause workshops in our community to speak with other women going through the same journey, to learn more about why she was feeling certain ways
👉Menopause seminars inside our community to listen to some of the worlds leading menopausal experts to break myths, to debunk FALSE information around hormones
👉 Workshops to build better self confidence in HER not that her body has changed and going through a large life transition
👉Support sessions inside our community to learn more about GUT HEALTH, SLEEP, STRESS MANAGEMENT and more
